Denmark: Business sentiment declines in June
According to a survey conducted by Statistics Denmark, business confidence among firms in the industrial sector deteriorated in June. The confidence indicator dropped to 2.0 points in June from May’s 10-month high of 4.0, but still remains above the zero-point threshold that separates optimism from pessimism in the sector.
The deterioration in business sentiment largely reflected a steep decline in production expectations. Views on order books were unchanged, while firms’ outlook regarding stocks of finished goods worsened marginally in the surveyed month.
