Denmark: Business sentiment improves in July but remains pessimistic
Business sentiment in the industrial sector resumed its improvement in July and inched up to minus 4.0 from June’s minus 5.0. Despite the improvement, the index remained below the 0-point threshold, signaling milder pessimism among Danish businesses in the industrial sector.
Looking at the details of the release, July’s milder pessimism reflected firms’ more upbeat views with regard to stocks of finished goods and production expectations. These positive developments more than offset firms’ views regarding order backlog becoming marginally more pessimistic.
