Denmark: Business sentiment records worst reading in over two years in October
Business sentiment fell to minus 16.0 in October, down from September’s minus 9.0. October’s result marked the weakest sentiment since June 2020. Consequently, the index moved further below the 0-point threshold, indicating starker pessimism among Danish businesses.
Octobers downturn came on the back of a deterioration in firms views with regards to production and order backlogs, both of which became more pessimistic. More positively, firms became more optimistic with regards to stocks of finished goods.
