Denmark: Business sentiment rises in January, but remains in negative territory
Business confidence rose to minus 16.0 in January from December’s minus 17.0. Consequently, the index moved closer to, but remained well below, the 0-point threshold, pointing to marginally less pessimism among Danish businesses.
Looking at the details of the release, Januarys mild improvement came on the back of firms views with regard to production and order backlog becoming less pessimistic. Additionally, firms assessment regarding stocks of finished goods was more optimistic in January.
