Denmark: Business confidence improves but remains in negative territory in August
Business sentiment came in at a four-month high of minus 1.0 in August, up notably from July’s minus 9.0. Despite the improvement, the index remained below the 0-point threshold, indicating sustained pessimism among businesses.
August’s uptick came on the back of an improvement in firms’ views with regards to production—which became positive. Moreover, businesses had less pessimistic views regarding order backlogs.
