Denmark: Economic sentiment inches down in July
Economic sentiment fell to 102.5 in July from June’s 103.8. Despite the downtick, the index remained above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
The headline print reflected weaker confidence in the services sector. Moreover, sentiment in the industrial and retail sectors waned, as did consumer sentiment. More positively, sentiment in the construction sector improved.
Considering indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations weakened, while the economic uncertainty index increased in July.
