Denmark: Manufacturing activity drops in October
Manufacturing output slid 2.3% month on month in seasonally adjusted terms in October (September: +1.3% mom). Looking at the details of the release, Octobers downturn reflected production of investment goods, non-durable consumer goods and intermediate goods all swinging to a contraction.
On an annual basis, manufacturing output grew 11.5% in seasonally adjusted terms in October, nearly helving from the prior months 22.9% expansion. Accordingly, the trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of manufacturing production coming in at 14.2% in October, down from Septembers 14.6%.
