Denmark: Manufacturing activity growth eases in June
Manufacturing output expanded 1.1% in month-on-month seasonally-adjusted terms in June, which was a deterioration from May’s 3.1% increase. The reading was due to weaker intermediate goods production, which more than offset improved production of non-durable consumer goods.
On a seasonally-adjusted annual basis, manufacturing production rose at a quicker rate of 26.3% in June (May: +16.6% yoy), the best result on record. Consequently, annual average manufacturing output growth rose to 13.7% in June (May: +11.8%), signaling an improving trend in the manufacturing sector.
