Denmark: Manufacturing activity growth eases in September
Manufacturing output grew 0.2% in month-on-month seasonally adjusted terms in September, which followed August’s 0.3% increase. Looking at the details of the release, the slowdown was largely driven by a marginal decline in non-durable consumer goods production. This development more than offset a rebound in capital goods production and stronger growth in the manufacture of intermediate goods.
On an annual basis, manufacturing production grew 2.6% in seasonally adjusted terms in September, which was below August’s 3.2% expansion and marked the weakest result since February 2021. Accordingly, the trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of manufacturing production coming in at 11.6%, down from August’s 13.2%.
