Denmark: Manufacturing activity rebounds in February
Manufacturing output increased 1.6% in month-on-month seasonally adjusted terms in February, which contrasted January’s 3.1% decrease. Looking at the details of the release, the notable turnaround largely reflected rebounds in non-durable consumer goods and intermediate goods output.
On a seasonally adjusted annual basis, manufacturing production rose at a more moderate pace of 2.4% in February (January: +6.3% yoy), the weakest result in three years. Accordingly, annual average manufacturing output growth fell to 8.4% in February (January: +9.8%), signaling a worsening trend in the manufacturing sector.
