Denmark: Manufacturing production expands at fastest pace since December 2022 in June
Manufacturing output rose 6.3% in month-on-month seasonally adjusted terms in June, which contrasted May’s 0.6% decrease. June’s result marked the best reading since December 2022. Looking at the details of the release, the improvement reflected a broad-based upturn, particularly activity in the non-durable consumer goods and investment goods, both of which tallied robust expansions.
On a seasonally adjusted annual basis, manufacturing output rose at a faster rate of 13.6% in June (May: +8.0% yoy). Still, annual average manufacturing output growth fell to 14.7% in June (May: +15.8%). This signals a worsening trend in the manufacturing sector.
