Denmark: Manufacturing production growth picks up pace in May
Manufacturing output grew 2.8% in month-on-month seasonally-adjusted terms in May, which was above April’s 0.1% increase. Looking at the details of the release, the reading was largely due to an improvement in non-durable consumer goods production growth, which more than offset investment goods output weakening.
On an annual basis, manufacturing production increased 16.8% in seasonally-adjusted terms in May, matching April’s expansion. Still, the trend improved modestly, with the annual average growth of manufacturing production coming in at 11.9%, up from April’s 11.7%.
