Denmark: Manufacturing production rebounds in August
Manufacturing production grew 0.2% month on month in seasonally adjusted terms in August (July: -9.0% mom). Looking at the details of the release, the rebound came on the back of both the manufacture of non-durable consumer goods and the intermediate goods output industry returning to growth.
On an annual basis, manufacturing production rose 3.4% in seasonally adjusted terms in August, which was notably below July’s 6.0% expansion and marking the worst result since June 2021. Accordingly, annual average manufacturing output growth fell to 13.3% in August (July: +14.2%), signaling a worsening trend in the manufacturing sector.
