Denmark: Inflation slides in June
Inflation fell to 1.8% in June from May’s 2.2%. Looking at the details of the release, prices for transportation rose at a slower pace. Similarly, food and non-alcoholic beverages prices increased at a milder rate. Conversely, prices for housing and utilities grew at a faster pace in June.
Meanwhile, the trend was unchanged, with annual average inflation coming in at May’s 1.3% in June. Meanwhile, core inflation fell to 1.3% in June from the previous month’s 1.6%.
Lastly, consumer prices were unchanged over the previous month in June, mirroring May’s reading.
