Denmark: Inflation inches down in February
Consumer prices rose 0.7% compared to the previous month in February, contrasting January’s 0.3% decline. Higher prices for rent, air travel and clothing led the month-on-month reading, according to Statistics Denmark. Meanwhile, prices for books, oil and gas decreased over the prior month.
Inflation decreased slightly to 0.6% in February, down from 0.7% in January. Annual average inflation was stable at January’s 1.1%.
Harmonized inflation (based on the Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices, HICP) inched down from January’s 0.6% to 0.5% in February, while annual average HICP inflation inched down from 1.1% in January to 1.0% in February.
