Denmark: Inflation stable in June
Consumer prices fell 0.1% month-on-month in June, contrasting May’s 0.2% increase. According to Statistics Denmark, the decrease was driven by lower prices for clothes; furniture and home furnishings; and milk, cheese and eggs.
Inflation came in at 1.1% in June, stable from May’s print. Annual average inflation was also steady at 1.1%, matching May’s figure. Harmonized inflation (based on the Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices, HICP) inched up to 1.1% in June, from 1.0% in May. Meanwhile, annual average HICP inflation remained stable for the fifth consecutive month at May’s 1.0% reading.
