Denmark: Inflation softens in July to near three-year low
Consumer prices rose 0.6% in month-on-month terms in June, contrasting the 0.2% decline logged in June. The increase was driven by a sharp rise in prices for leisure and culture, and hotels and restaurants. Meanwhile, transport and food and non-alcoholic beverages costs also rose in the month.
Meanwhile, inflation weakened to 0.4% in July from 0.6% in June, marking the lowest reading since October 2016, while annual average inflation ticked down to 0.8% in July from 0.9% in June.
