Dominican Republic: Economic activity growth slows in August
The economy lost some steam halfway through the third quarter. Economic activity rose 2.0% in year-on-year terms in August, which was below July’s 2.9% increase.
Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of economic activity coming in at 2.2% in August, down from the prior month’s 2.5% reading.
Lastly, on a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, activity grew a marginal 0.1% in August, slowing from the previous month’s 1.4% rise.
