Ecuador: Economic activity accelerates slightly in February
Economic activity grew 4.8% over the same month of the previous year in February, according to the monthly economic activity indicator (IDEAC, Indice de Actividad Económica Coyuntural) released by the Central Bank of Ecuador. This was up from January’s 4.4% year-on-year expansion.
In month-on-month, seasonally-adjusted terms, economic activity rose 0.9% in February, after expanding 0.7% in January. Meanwhile, annual average growth in economic activity edged up from 3.7% in January to 3.9% in February.
