Ecuador: Economic activity growth hits eight-month high in September
In September, economic activity rose 2.1% over the same month of the previous year, according to the monthly economic activity indicator (IDEAC) released by the Central Bank of Ecuador. The result was above August’s 1.5% increase and marked the best reading since January.
In month-on-month, seasonally-adjusted terms, economic activity rose 0.6% in September, following August’s 0.5% increase. Annual average growth in economic activity, however, inched down to 1.9% in September from 2.0% in August.
