Ecuador: Economic activity records lowest growth since March in September
Economic activity increased 13.9% compared to the same month a year earlier in September, which was a deterioration from August’s 17.2% increase. September’s result marked the worst reading since March. Another notable decline in oil output, coupled with a fading base effect, were likely behind the slowdown.
Meanwhile, annual average economic activity growth rose to 10.1% in September (August: +8.3%). This signals an improving trend in the sector.
