Ecuador: Consumer prices on an annual basis drop again in April
Consumer prices declined 0.14% over the previous month in April, contrasting a 0.06% month-on-month rise in March. Five out of the twelve sub-components recorded higher prices, while the remaining seven registered a price drop. Prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages declined the most, while prices for recreation and culture rose by the greatest magnitude.
Consumer prices dropped 0.8% over the same month of the previous year in April, following a 0.2% drop in annual terms in March. Annual average inflation came in flat in April following a 0.2% decline in March.
