Ecuador: Consumer prices drop again in annual terms in December
Consumer prices dropped 0.03% over the previous month in December, following November’s 0.01% decline. December’s result largely reflected falling prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages as well as clothing and footwear.
Consumer prices slipped 0.9% in year-on-year terms in December, matching November’s result and marking the sixth consecutive month of falling prices. Similarly, the annual average variation in consumer prices remained stable, coming in at November’s minus 0.3% in December.
