Ecuador: Inflation continues on upward trend in July
Consumer prices rose 0.1% in July, after coming in flat in June. Higher food prices led the upturn, followed by a rise in transport and health costs. Meanwhile, prices for recreation and culture fell by the biggest magnitude.
Inflation inched up to 0.7% in July from 0.6% in June. Lastly, the annual average variation in consumer prices creeped up to 0.3% in July from 0.2% in June.
