Ecuador: Inflation rises in June to highest since 2015
Consumer prices rose 0.65% in June over the previous month, accelerating from May’s 0.56% increase. June’s uptick marked the highest reading since January. The figure was primarily driven by price pressures for food and non-alcoholic beverages growing at a quicker pace.
Inflation increased to 4.2% in June from May’s 3.4%. June’s reading marked the highest inflation rate since July 2015. Annual average inflation rose to 2.2% in June (May: 1.8%).
