Estonia: Economic sentiment improves in November
Economic sentiment came in at 78.9 in November, up from October’s 77.9. Consequently, the index remained entrenched below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
The headline print reflected deteriorating sentiment in the industrial sector. Meanwhile, November saw healthier sentiment in the construction and retail sectors and improving confidence in the services sector. Finally, consumer confidence strengthened in November.
Referring to indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations improved, while the economic uncertainty index rose in November.
