Estonia: Economic sentiment increases in June
Economic sentiment came in at 83.6 in June, up from May’s 82.2. As a result, the index remained entrenched below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
The headline print reflected healthier sentiment in the industrial, retail and construction sectors. Additionally, confidence in the services sector strengthened in June. Less positively, consumer confidence softened in June.
Regarding indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations improved, while the economic uncertainty index increased in June.
