Estonia: Decline in industrial output softens in February
Industrial output slid 2.6% year-on-year in seasonally and calendar adjusted terms in February, which was markedly softer than January’s 7.3% decrease. The figure marked the best reading since October 2022. The softer drop came on the back of an improvement in manufacturing and mining and quarrying production.
On a monthly basis, industrial production grew 1.0% in seasonally adjusted terms in February, rebounding from January’s 5.4% fall. Meanwhile, the trend improved, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 11.2% in February, up from January’s minus 11.6%.
