Estonia: Industrial output dips in April
Industrial production fell 0.4% in annual working-day adjusted terms in April, contrasting a healthy 2.3% increase in March and marking the first contraction since November 2017. April’s deterioration was generally broad-based: Output in the energy and mining sectors continued to contract in double digits, while manufacturing production growth more than halved in the same month.
On a seasonally-adjusted month-on-month basis, industrial production fell 1.4%, contrasting the previous month’s 0.6% rise. Meanwhile, annual average growth in industrial output ticked down from 3.9% in March to 3.5% in April.
