Estonia: Industrial output growth eases in March
Industrial production growth fell from 4.0% in February to a five-month low of 2.4% in March, in annual working-day adjusted terms. The reading reflected significant contractions in the energy and mining sectors, which were more than offset by strong manufacturing output growth, led by booming production of computers, electronic and optical products, and of machinery and equipment.
On a seasonally-adjusted month-on-month basis, industrial production rose 0.6%, contrasting the previous month’s 1.1% drop. Meanwhile, annual average growth in industrial output ticked down to 3.9% in March, from to 4.0% in February.
