Estonia: Inflation declines to over two-year low in February
Consumer prices rose 0.2% from the previous month in February, compared to January’s 0.2% decrease. A breakdown of the sub-components provided by Statistics Estonia showed that 6 of the total 12 saw a rise in prices, led by transport and food, which more than offset lower prices for housing.
Inflation fell to 2.0% in February, from 2.7% in January, marking the lowest reading since November 2016. Meanwhile, annual average inflation ticked down from 3.4% in January to 3.3% in February. Lastly, harmonized inflation fell to 1.9%, from 2.8% in the previous month.
