Estonia: Inflation rises in August
Consumer prices rose 0.7% over the previous month in August, contrasting a 0.1% month-on-month drop in July. A breakdown by components showed that a rebound in the prices for clothing and footwear, and transport, along with faster increases in the prices for housing, and recreation and culture were behind the overall upturn.
Inflation rose to 2.4% in August from 2.1% in July. Meanwhile, annual average inflation inched down to 2.9% from 3.0% in July. Lastly, harmonized inflation creeped up to 2.1% in August from 2.0% in July.
