Estonia: Inflation climbs to 14-month high in April
Consumer prices rose 0.41% over the previous month in April, contrasting the 0.21% fall logged in March. April’s result mainly reflected quicker growth in food prices, as well as a rebound in prices for housing, and recreation and culture.
Inflation rose to 1.9% in April from 1.1% in March, marking the highest reading in over a year. Meanwhile, the annual average variation in consumer prices came in at minus 0.4% (March: -0.7%). Lastly, harmonized inflation increased to 1.6% in April from 0.9% in the previous month.
