Estonia: Inflation rises in February
Consumer prices rose 1.45% over the previous month in February, swinging from the 0.09% fall recorded in January. Looking at the details of the release, housing and utilities prices fell at a more moderate pace in February compared to the previous month, while price pressures for transportation picked up pace.
Inflation increased to 12.0% in February, above January’s 11.3%. Consequently, the trend pointed up, with annual average inflation coming in at 6.5% in February (January: 5.6%). Lastly, harmonized inflation rose to 11.6% in February, from January’s 11.0%.
