Estonia: Inflation unchanged in December
Consumer prices fell 0.3% over the previous month in December, following a 0.2% month-on-month decrease in November. A breakdown by components provided by Statistics Estonia showed that lower prices for housing, alcoholic beverages and tobacco, and clothing and footwear drove the result, more than offsetting higher prices for transport.
Inflation remained at 1.8% in December, unchanged from the prior month. Meanwhile, annual average inflation nudged further down to an over two-year low of 2.3% in December (November: 2.4%).
