Euro Area: Unemployment rate stable in June
The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate came In at 6.4% in June, unchanged from May.
Nine economies saw their unemployment rates stable in June, including France, Germany and the Netherlands. Meanwhile, six economies saw their unemployment rates decrease, including Italy and Spain, while five economies saw their unemployment rates increase.
Significant disparities in labor market conditions between core and periphery countries persist. Spain (11.7%) and Greece (11.1%) are the economies with the highest unemployment rates. At the other end of the spectrum, Malta (2.6%) and Germany (3.0%) have the lowest unemployment rates.
