Finland: Economic sentiment stable in November
Economic sentiment was unchanged at October’s 79.6 in November. As a result, the index remained entrenched below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
The headline print reflected declining sentiment in the industrial sector and dampened sentiment in the construction sector. These developments offset healthier confidence in the services sector in November and improved sentiment in the retail sector in the surveyed month. Lastly, consumer confidence rose in November.
Referring to indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations deteriorated, while the economic uncertainty index rose in November.
