Finland: Inflation accelerates in October
Consumer prices rose 0.2% in October, down from the 0.3% increase in September. October’s reading was driven by higher clothing and footwear prices but weighed on by lower health prices. The Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP)—which does not include certain expenses such as the vehicles tax or fishing and hunting fees—showed a 0.3% price rise in October, as it did in September.
Inflation accelerated to 1.5% in October, the highest recorded since July 2013 and up from September’s 1.3%. HICP inflation was 1.7% in October, higher than 1.4% in September.
