Finland: Inflation falls to lowest level since March in June
Consumer prices dropped 0.05% in June over the previous month, contrasting the 0.15% rise seen in May. June’s result marked the first decline in prices since November 2020. Looking at the details of the release, the result was largely due to prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages declining at a sharper rate, while prices for transport also dropped in June.
Inflation fell to a three-month low in June, coming in at 2.0% (May: 2.2%). Meanwhile, the trend pointed up, with annual average inflation coming in at 0.9% in June (May: 0.7%). Lastly, harmonized inflation came in at 1.9% in June, which was below May’s 2.3%.
