Finland: Inflation slows in May
Consumer prices fell 0.2% in May compared to the previous month, contrasting the 0.6% rise logged in April. The decrease was primarily due to lower prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages.
The Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP)—which does not include certain factors such as the vehicles tax or fishing and hunting fees—also showed a 0.2% fall in May, contrasting the 0.7% increase in April.
Both CPI and HICP inflation slowed to 1.2% in May from 1.5% in April.
