Finland: Inflation stable in February
Consumer prices increased 0.36% in February, accelerating slightly from the 0.34% rise seen in January. February’s result marked the strongest increase in prices in seven months. Looking at the details of the release, the result was driven by higher prices for transport, food and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as for alcoholic beverages and tobacco.
Inflation came in at 0.9% in February, matching January’s print. Meanwhile, the trend was unchanged with annual average inflation coming in at 0.3% in February for the third month running. Lastly, harmonized inflation came in at 0.9% in February, slightly below January’s reading of 1.1%.
