Finland: Inflation ticks down in September
Consumer prices remained flat in September over the previous month, after the mild 0.02% increase recorded in August. September’s reading marked the lowest since May. Looking at the details of the release, the print reflects higher prices for education, clothing and footwear being offset by lower prices for transport, restaurants and hotels.
Inflation came in at 0.2% in September, matching August’s reading. Meanwhile, the trend pointed slightly down, with annual average inflation coming in at 0.4% in September from August’s 0.5%.
