Finland: Inflation ticks up in December
Consumer prices rebounded 0.1% in December compared with the previous month, reversing November’s 0.1% downtick. The increase chiefly reflected higher prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages, transport, and recreation and culture, which more than outweighed lower prices for clothing and footwear, and household items.
Inflation accelerated somewhat to 0.9% in December from 0.7% in November. Meanwhile, annual average inflation dropped marginally to 1.0% this month, from 1.1% in November. Lastly, harmonized inflation ticked up to 1.1% in December from 0.8% in the month prior.
