Finland: Inflation decreases slightly in August
Consumer prices ticked up a mild 0.02% in August over the previous month, following the 0.36% increase recorded in July. August’s reading marked the lowest price increase in the past three months. Looking at the details of the release, higher prices for clothing and household equipment were offset by lower prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages, and recreation and culture.
Inflation came in at 0.2% in August, down from July’s 0.6% reading. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down slightly with annual average inflation coming in at 0.5% in August, down from July’s 0.6%.
