Finland: Inflation stable for fifth month running in December
Consumer prices increased 0.14% in December over the previous month, swinging from November’s 0.07% decrease and marking the strongest price increase in five months. Looking at the details of the release, the print reflected higher prices for transport and restaurants and hotels. However, those were partly offset by lower prices for clothing and footwear.
Inflation came in at 0.2% in December, matching November’s reading. Meanwhile, the trend pointed downwards, with annual average inflation coming in at 0.3% in December, from November’s 0.4% print. Lastly, harmonized inflation came in at 0.2% in December, matching November’s print.
