France: Businesses turn more optimistic in November
Business confidence came in at 109.2 in November, up from 107.1 in October. As such, the index moved further above the 100-threshold, indicating optimism among businesses.
November’s improvement was chiefly driven by returning optimism over firms’ assessment of their finished-goods inventory, as well as easing pessimism with regards to their overall and foreign order books. On top of this, companies’ production expectations turned rosier over the previous month. Less positively, however, firms turned less optimistic regarding their past production.
