France: Business confidence improves in October
Business confidence came in at 107.1 in October, up from September’s 106.6. As such, the index moved further above the 100-threshold, indicating optimism among businesses.
October’s improvement was largely attributed to easing pessimism over firms’ assessment of overall as well as foreign order books, against the backdrop of strong optimism with regards to their personal and general production expectations. That said, firms’ views on their finished-goods inventories turned pessimistic over the prior month.
