France: Consumer confidence increases in June
Consumer confidence rose to 85.0 in June from May’s 83.0. June’s result marked the best reading since May 2022. That said, the index remained entrenched below the 100-threshold, signaling sustained pessimism among consumers.
Sentiment improved regarding households’ financial situations and living standards over the next 12 months. Moreover, expected savings capacity ticked up. That said, households became significantly more pessimistic about the inflation outlook.
