France: Industrial output expands at fastest pace since May 2023 in June
Industrial output increased 0.8% month-on-month in seasonally adjusted terms in June (May: -2.2% mom). The result marked the best reading since May 2023. The notable rebound was largely due to improved readings for manufacturing and mining and quarrying.
On an annual basis, industrial output fell at a softer rate of 1.6% in June (May: -3.1% yoy). Meanwhile, annual average industrial production growth fell to 0.3% in June (May: +0.4%).
