France: Harmonized inflation comes in at highest level since February in July
Harmonized inflation came in at 2.7% in July, which was up from June’s 2.5%. July’s result marked the highest inflation rate since February, and was driven by a faster rise in prices for housing and utilities.
The trend pointed down slightly, with annual average harmonized inflation coming in at 3.6% in July (June: 3.8%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation rose to 2.3% in July from the previous month’s 2.2%.
Lastly, harmonized consumer prices increased 0.20% from the previous month in July, broadly stable from the 0.15% rise seen in June.
